What is a Project ID?

It is a public code used to identify your DApp with WalletConnect relay servers. It is not a secret β€” safe to include in the client bundle.

  1. 1

    Open cloud.reown.com

Go to https://cloud.reown.com (formerly WalletConnect Cloud). Sign up for free using Email, GitHub, or Google.

  2. 2

    Create New Project

Click 'Create Project' β†’ select 'AppKit' or 'Wallet' type. Name it 'bittrade' (or as you wish). Click Create.

  3. 3

    Copy Project ID

On the Project page, you will see 'Project ID' as 32 hex characters (e.g., a1b2c3d4e5f6…). Click Copy.

  4. 4

    Paste into Settings

Return to /settings of this DApp, paste the Project ID into the 'WalletConnect Project ID' field, and click Save. The page should automatically reload once.

  5. 5

    Test

Click Connect Wallet β†’ you will see 'WalletConnect (QR)' in the list. Scan the QR with OKX / Bitget / Trust / Rainbow / Bitkub NEXT or other wallets.

Note: Reown's free tier supports 10,000+ connections per month β€” sufficient for typical DApps. This Project ID will be stored in the DApp database and shared among all users.
